Recycling demands performance without compromise. EPSILON recycling cranes feature robust design, finely tuned controls, and an array of unique solutions designed to make work easier and more efficient. Backed by decades of PALFINGER EPSILON reliability.

Extensive customization options

Whether you need remote control capability or want to choose between rear-mounted and side-mounted topseats, EPSILON has exactly the solution you need – ready to go.

Strong customer focus

The people who operate recycling cranes – day in, day out – are the foremost experts in what these cranes should look like. We seek out your perspectives and engage with your requirements when designing our cranes. This input influences key parameters, such as lifting capacity, installation height, boom geometry, and control methods.

State-of-the-art manufacturing

We focus on swift and efficient production processes, including synchronized assembly lines and streamlined logistics. A strong culture of improvement and a long-term perspective keep delivery times short and crane quality consistently high.

Easyfold

One main highlight of our recycling cranes

A conventional Z-type crane usually requires additional stabilization when extending the boom to bridge the dead center of the knuckle-boom cylinder. But that’s not the case with Easyfold: this patented system from PALFINGER EPSILON negotiates the dead center with the help of an auxiliary cylinder.

A Selection Of The Highlights In Our Recycling Cranes

Triple Z

Triple Z-type cranes feature a triple-folding boom that can be compactly stowed behind the truck cabin, offering maximum maneuverability and minimal setup time. This optional telescopic main boom opens up the working geometry of an L-type crane, which permits a higher reach and more efficient loading.

Tipper Z

With most cranes, the grabber must be dismantled and stowed safely before the crane can be transported, which eats into valuable working time. But, thanks to their short stowed length, Tipper Z-type cranes can be stowed in their entirety – including the grab – within the width of the carrier vehicle. Bodybuilders frequently struggle with the narrow mounting situations of front-mounted cranes. However, our Tipper solution features a special boom system that facilitates front mounting with minimal impact on other truck infrastructure, such as the AdBlue tank or the exhaust system.

Epslink & Epscope

EPSILON’s patented solutions are a testament to its technological leadership: Epslink is a robust link-rotator combination, while Epscope is a telescopic extension boom system. When combined, they provide a practical, professional solution that enables operators to work safely without the risk of mechanical damage to key components.

Our Different Recycling Segments

Scrap

Scrap handling takes a toll on equipment: sharp edges, unpredictable loads, constant impacts, and abrasive dirt all accelerate wear. And, while fast cycle times are crucial, operators also need fine control to avoid damage, spills, and unsafe load swings – especially in tight yards with non-stop traffic.

EPSILON delivers scrap crane solutions built for durability and controlled power. Their robust design, reliable hydraulics, and precise handling help customers move more material each shift, reduce unplanned downtime, and keep operations running more safely and smoothly, even under heavy daily stress.

PALFINGER

Waste management

Waste handling is all about dealing with variety and maintaining an efficient tempo: mixed materials, changing weights, and awkward shapes, all while contending with dust, moisture, and stop-start routines. Equipment must stay dependable in harsh environments, while operators need smooth, predictable movements to load, sort, and compact materials efficiently without unnecessary fuel consumption.

EPSILON supports waste management with crane solutions designed for reliable continuous duty and efficient material handling. Smooth control, strong lifting performance, and durable components help customers to accelerate their loading and sorting processes, improve uptime, and run a cleaner, more efficient cycle – day after day.

PALFINGER

Container discharge

Discharging containers calls for precision under pressure: tight time windows, limited space, and the need to unload quickly without damaging goods, containers, or surrounding infrastructure. Loads can be dense, tangled, or tricky to access – so stability, reach, and fine control matter as much as raw power.

EPSILON provides crane solutions that enable customers to discharge containers faster and more safely thanks to controlled movements and dependable performance. Our systems support efficient unloading workflows, reduce handling errors, and keep turnaround times short – ideal in settings where every minute counts.
