Safe and Efficient 3D‑Compensated Transfer System

The OPTS is a unique 3D‑compensated passenger and cargo transfer system developed for marine applications. It adjusts to vessel motion and environmental conditions, ensuring safe and efficient transfers between a moving vessel and a fixed offshore structure, such as a wind turbine, drilling rig, or production platform.

Versatile and Cost‑Effective Offshore Operations

Perfect for servicing fixed or semi‑floating installations and for decommissioning work, the OPTS can be mounted on small, cost‑efficient vessels, enabling safe offshore operations at reduced costs. Its smart design increases flexibility across various offshore projects.

Dual Functionality with Certified Design

Equipped with an integrated winch system, the OPTS can also function as a 3D‑compensated crane. Designed and built according to DNV‑ST‑0378 (crane features) and DNV‑ST‑0358 (safety features) standards, it meets the highest offshore safety and performance requirements.

Mobile and Fixed Installation Unit Available

The OPTS is available in two distinct configurations, designed to meet different operational requirements in offshore environments.

The first version is a fully mobile unit, built in the same dimensions as a 40-foot container. Its design ensures easy transportation, allowing quick mobilization and installation on a wide range of vessels. In this configuration, the Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) is integrated and mounted on the base frame, so it is only necessary to secure the OPTS on deck and provide it with power to be able to use it for personnel or cargo handling.

The second version of the OPTS is designed for fixed installation on a vessel. In this configuration, the base frame is not required, and the HPU can be installed below deck, reducing the center of gravity (CoG) for enhanced vessel stability. The OPTS can be permanently welded to the deck structure in the most optimal position.

Safe, Quick, and Efficient

The OPTS is a hydraulic, multifunctional aerial lift designed for safe and efficient transfer of personnel and materials between vessel and offshore structures.

Technically, the OPTS features multi-axis motion compensation, enabling it to automatically absorb vessel movements caused by waves. It can lift up to six people simultaneously and cargo loads up to 1,000 kg, offering unmatched versatility and reliability compared to conventional offshore lifting systems.

Light Weight, High Stability

Operating directly from the vessel deck, the OPTS enables workers to move safely from base to workplace without crossing height differences.

Its lightweight design – approximately 15 tons in the fixed version – minimizes impact on vessel stability, making it perfectly suited for smaller offshore work vessels.
