WHICH EXPENSES ARE COVERED BY PALFINGER, AND WHICH EXPENSES SHOULD I EXPECT TO PAY OUT OF POCKET?

Here’s an outline detailing the conference expenses that are covered by PALFINGER:

Hotel: PALFINGER will pay for your hotel reservation (single occupancy) during the nights of Sept. 11th & 12th. Any additional nights outside of these dates, should you choose to extend your stay in Schaumburg / Chicago, will be your responsibility.

Meals: Meals are provided during the conference dates for the conference attendee. Breakfast is included as part of your hotel stay, and lunches and dinners during the event are also included as part of your conference registration.

Transportation: Please arrange for a taxi or ride share (Uber/Lyft) to your designated hotel upon arrival in Chicago. Daily shuttles from the hotel to the Headquarters and back will be provided during the event. If you prefer to rent a car, please note that this will be an out-of-pocket expense. Also, parking onsite at the Headquarters is limited so we kindly ask that you take the daily shuttles to and from the event.

What is the closest airport to the hotel and venue?

The closest airport to the hotel and venue is Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD). It is conveniently located and offers a variety of transportation options to reach the Renaissance Hotel.

Is there a preferred hotel I can book at?

PALFINGER has reserved a block of rooms at the Renaissance Hotel for conference attendees for the nights of September 11th and 12th. Please book your room directly by clicking the button below. If you plan to extend your stay in Schaumburg/Chicago and wish to continue your stay at the Renaissance, please contact the hotel directly to add additional nights to your reservation.

I have special accessibility needs / dietary requirements; can you accommodate me?

Absolutely! Please provide our Event Manager with the details of your specific accessibility needs or dietary requirements, and we will do our best to accommodate you. You can email us directly with the necessary information. We’re here to ensure your experience is comfortably and enjoyable.

What parking arrangements are available at the venue?

Due to space constraints, we have organized transportation to and from the venue from the Renaissance Hotel for your convenience. There is no onsite parking available. Details regarding the transportation schedule, and pick-up locations will be provided when you check into the hotel. Should you miss the shuttles or wish to Uber/Lyft instead of taking the arranged transportation, the address of the PALFINGER Headquarters is: 2324 Palmer Drive, Schaumburg, IL 60173

MAY I REQUEST TO BRING EXTRA MEMBERS OF MY SALES TEAM TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENT?

Due to event size constraints, participation is limited.  If you would like to request that additional participants from your company attend, please contact your Sales Manager to have those individuals placed on the waiting list.

CAN I BRING MY SPOUSE/PARTNER AND/OR FAMILY TO CHICAGO? ARE THEY ALLOWED TO ATTEND?

While you are more than welcome to bring your spouse, partner, or family to Chicago, please note that due to the large number of participants, they will not be able to participate in any of the event activities.

Any expenses incurred for your spouse, partner or family, including flights, meals, hotel costs for double, triple or quadruple occupancy, will be your responsibility.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR THE EVENT?

The dress code for the event is business casual. 

What is the dress code for the Networking Event & Dinner Cruise activities on the afternoon of Sept. 12th?

We recommend comfortable yet professional attire suitable for an afternoon of sightseeing and an evening on the water (covered boat). Please be sure to bring anything you may need until you return to the hotel later that night (ie. Medications). If you have any questions or need further guidance on what to wear, please feel free to ask.

I booked the wrong break-out session; can I change my booking?

Yes, please contact our Event Manager with the details of your current booking, including the session you initially booked and the one you wish to change to. She’ll assist you with the process and ensure your booking is updated accordingly.

What do I do with my luggage the morning of Sept. 13th when I have to check-out of the hotel?

On the morning of Sept. 13th, after checking out of the hotel, you will be able to store your luggage onsite at the PALFINGER Headquarters. We will securely hold your belongings until you are ready to depart.

DO I NEED ANY PASSPORTS, TRAVEL VISAS OR PERMITS TO TRAVEL TO THE USA?

Travel visa requirements differ based on nationality and the purpose and duration of the visit.  To confirm whether a travel visa is necessary, click the button below.

Canadian and Latin American travelers require a valid passport to travel to the United States. Ensure that your passport is up to date. It's essential to avoid any issues at the airport due to an expired passport. Also be sure to check that your passport is valid for at least 6 months past the intended departure date from the USA.
