DPS - Dual Power System
How DPS-Plus Works
he fly jib can be operated with two pressure ranges. If the last extension boom of the crane is extended (normal operation), the lifting power will be reduced to protect the crane against overloading. If the last extension boom of the crane is retracted (activates DPS-Plus), the system will switch automatically to the high-pressure range, thereby using the full lifting power of the fly jib.
How DPS-C Works
C stands for “continuous”, as DPS-C maximizes lifting power due to continual measurement of the current position of the boom system. In contrast to DPS-Plus, not only the position of the crane boom system is important, but also the position of fly jib extension system.
While DPS-Plus uses two positions and therefore two pressure ranges, DPS-C chooses continuously the optimal pressure range. This is possible due to length measurement system monitoring the exact position of the boom system of crane and jib. DPS-C enables optimal fitting power in all positions. Therefore, DPS-C has even positive effects on lifting capacity in case of fully extended crane and jib.
