Senior Regional Quality Manager, NAM & LATAM

Palfinger is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Senior Regional Quality Manager for NAM & LATAM; while we are in Council Bluffs, IA this role offers the flexibility of working remotely. You'll report directly to the Vice President Process and Quality Management, ensuring you play a pivotal role in our global quality operations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Regional Supplier Quality and Operations Quality teams, ensuring top-tier performance, collaboration, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Define and perform necessary quality management tasks in accordance with stakeholders, including PQM, local quality organizations, Regional Purchasing, and Regional Operations.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the PALFINGER management system, and assist in developing corporate policies and standards to ensure compliance with local laws.
  • Manage regional certification processes and audits based on corporate requirements, and implement corrective actions based on audits and KPIs.
  • Conduct and coordinate supplier audits according to required standards and enhance global and regional frameworks for safe and high-quality products and processes, ensuring continuous improvement and supporting Product Line Quality Management in defining global quality requirements, FMEA, and conducting risk analyses.

Your Qualifications

  • Educational and Professional Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or Business, with over 10 years of progressive experience in Quality, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields, including more than 5 years in the industry.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience as a Supplier Quality Manager or Quality Manager in manufacturing plants, with multi-site management and the ability to train, mentor, and lead cross-functional and global teams.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and ISO 3834 standards (or comparable US standards). Advanced knowledge in product/service failure investigations and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), expertise in quality methodologies such as FMEA, APQP, CPL, and problem-solving tools like 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Whys, Defect Pareto, and X-Y matrix. Proficient in ERP systems (SAP) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Skills and Attributes: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills; effective communicator with strong written, presentation, and interpersonal skills; well-organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects with limited supervision; high integrity with adherence to ethical standards; practical attitude with a strong willingness to solve problems at their root cause.
  • Additional Qualifications: Fluent in English; knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese, or German is a plus. Willingness to travel up to 90%, including Mexico and internationally.
