PALFINGER is searching for a Paint Prep Technician to join our Trenton, NJ location. This position reports to the Paint Supervisor. The Paint Prep Technician will be responsible to clean and prep truck chassis, parts, weldments, top frames, Cable Hoists and Hook Lifts for paint in an industrial manufacturing environment. This person will also be trained to occasionally prime frames, parts and hoists prior to the paint process.

Responsibilities:

Understand and comply with company policy, safety guidelines, quality system procedures, and 5S and housekeeping standards.
Maintain a neat, clean and organized work area.
Follow SOPs properly
Properly clean, mask, plug, tack chassis and parts for paint with supervision
Correctly wash, dry and sand parts
Able to identify different basic weldment parts.
Understand and follow all written instructions as per requirements, inspection plans, etc.
Accurately complete all required documentation at the time of the task.
Assume responsibility and care of all company tools in assigned/dedicated work centers.
Accept direction and feedback.
Report to work timely and regularly as scheduled per company’s attendance policy and requirements.

Qualifications:

Grinding/hand tool experience, industrial manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
Ability to understand and follow instructions
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form
Highschool diploma or equivalent
