PALFINGER is searching for a Purchasing Manager that is responsible for locating and maintaining the best sources of supply for the compenents, materials and services the company needs. We are located at the Council Bluffs, IA facility. This position reports to the Senior Operations Manager.

Your Responsibilities

Ensure timely and accurate execution of purchase orders according to Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
Conduct supplier performance reviews and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure accountability.
Manage and mentor a team of buyers to execute daily purchasing activities effectively.
Identify and manage supply chain risks, implementing actions to secure the supply chain.
Maintain clear communication with all departments to ensure project objectives are achieved and supply chain issues are addressed.

Your qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 3 to 5 years experience in a strategic procurement role.
Experience working within a manufacturing facility.
Excellent technical writing and spoken English skills.
Well-devloped knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and SAP experience.
Ability to work on multiple projects simulataneously with limited supervision, while remaining proactive and well-organized.
