In our office in Seimsfoss we are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to strengthen our team. The office contains of 50+ talented and experienced colleges that are ready to welcome another team member onboard. In this international environment you will be an important key to further develop our success in life saving boats.

 

We are searching for self-driven and motivated mechanical engineer who is also a team player. As a mechanical engineer, you will have responsibility for design of metal structures, components, assemblies, outfitting of boats. You will also work with technical documentation according to technical department procedures, customer requirements and international standards. You will work closely with other members of the Engineering Team, both in Seimsfoss but also other Marine locations around the world. In this job you will be involved and work together with the team in different phases of a project.

Your tasks:

  • Responsible for the design of metal structures, components, assemblies, outfitting of boats and preparation of the technical documentation according to technical department procedures, customer requirements and international standards.
  • Develop cost efficient and modularized subsystems, in cooperation with the responsible CoEs, which also need to be maintained for a serial production setup.
  • Also, the capabilities of the internal- and external supplier/production network need to be considered to create cost efficient components.

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or similar
  • Strong technical understanding and analytical capabilities
  • Minimum work experience in a technical field of at least 2 years
  • Basic knowledge of ERP, CAD and PDM tools are needed
  • Basic knowledge about boats & davits is required
