At PALFINGER, we are a global leader in hydraulic engineering and innovative lifting solutions, and we’re looking for a parts purchaser to join our PALFINGER North America team. Based in our new spare parts hub in Huntley, IL, this role will manage procurement, vendor coordination, and inventory to keep our operations running smoothly. Your Responsibilities
- Run MRP report in SAP ECC to calculate required material and convert demand to vendor purchase order. Optimize inventory levels based on demand and order history.
- Check order acknowledgment and modify pricing and lead time when differences occur.
- Run a late report on all outstanding inbound material. Problem solves reasons why material is outstanding with vendor and warehouse staff.
- Work with suppliers on pricing and lead times.
- Create Purchase Orders and Sales orders to move material between ECC and S4 based on TMF demand/order entry.
- Analyze stock requirements for material lead time and sales orders. Modify inbound freight method to better suit customer requirements.
Your Qualifications
- Five (5) years’ experience in supply chain planning or a related field preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Diploma/certification preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of procurement and management.
- Customer service mindset to provide the best available solutions in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office with ability to utilize Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
- Knowledge of SAP preferred.
