For our team in Schiedam, we are looking for a Manager Marine Academy (f/m/d) who develops and implements learning strategies for Palfinger Marine personnel, partners, and customers. This includes assessing skills, creating content, and supervising the Marine Training Set-up for both technical and Sales & Service topics. The role involves managing trainers, leading content creation, and staying updated with knowledge transfer trends. The goal is to deliver top-tier training programs for Product Groups, Marine Handling Solutions, Marine & Wind Cranes, and Boats & Davits. Ultimately, the manager ensures employees have the tools and knowledge to meet customer expectations, positioning Palfinger Marine as a top-notch Equipment and Service provider.

Your responsibilities

Lead the trainers and Marine training organization, ensuring effective management and coordination, as well as a state-of-the-art set-up
Review and strategically enhance existing training programs to improve engagement, learning, and retention, meeting the evolving needs of the Marine Industry and stakeholders
Identify problems and opportunities for improvement, such as operational changes or industry developments, that training could address
Create and maintain required training documentation and trainer guidelines in alignment with global Training
Manage training sales activities to external stakeholders and ensure training milestones and goals are met within the approved budget

Your qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in training, knowledge transfer to both, employees and customers, or technical managerial role, preferably in the Marine business
Strong leadership and management, as well as project management skills
Proficiency in using training software and tools, such as XR or simulators
Strategic change mindset and affinity for pursuing the latest trends in knowledge transfer
Strong communication and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
