Industrial Engineer

Join PALFINGER as a Manufacturing Industrial Engineer, reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, where you will drive product support, process implementation, and new product releases to manufacturing. You'll collaborate with design engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure manufacturability, while supporting the ECN process, bill of materials, routings, and work center definitions. Your role will also include assisting with tooling requirements, design, and implementation to support product development.
Your Responsibilities
- Coordinate various aspects of industrial engineering, including fixture design, project planning, and process development.
- Provide engineering support and guidance to the Continuous Improvement and Quality departments to enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist in the development of processing plans, routing structures, work center structures, methods, designs, materials handling, manpower requirements, time studies, and cost analyses.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of long- and short-term processing plans while ensuring safe, cost-effective, and timely project completion.
- Represent the department internally and externally, supporting cross-plant initiatives and preparing technical reports, proposals, and studies.
Your Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent industrial experience.
- A strong background in Lean Manufacturing and experience in a continuous improvement environment.
- Proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (SAP preferred), along with general CAD knowledge (Pro-E, Solidworks, AutoCAD, Creo).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external colleagues.
- Flexibility to adapt to change, openness to constructive feedback, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
