Project Manager Strategic Partner Development (f/m/d)

To strengthen our Supply Chain Management team in Bergheim (Salzburg), we are looking for a project manager able to develop long term strategic partnerships for large outsourcing volumes in structural steel components as well as assembly content. You can develop selected suppliers to cost and process excellence, using your own lean and manufacturing know-how and process expertise as well as leading a cross functional team of subject matter experts supporting you.
Make or Buy Management is part of PALFINGER's Global Supply Chain Management, which reports directly to the COO and ensures a balance between internal value creation and external partners - our aim is to support our targeted growth by sourcing components externally through international strategic partnerships.
Your responsibilities

Manage the relocation to suppliers through to sustainable series supply

Advise our strategic partners and act as an interface to PALFINGER in order to achieve our common long-term goals

Identify cost saving opportunities and process improvements

Develop and implement solutions in collaboration with suppliers

Lead the task force in case of supplier delivery and quality deficiencies
Your qualifications
- Several years industrial experience in make or buy management
- Degree in mechanical/industrial engineering or relevant field
- Project management expertise in a manufacturing environment with an understanding of calculation and cost impacts, production systems (e.g. TPS) and value stream analysis
- Very good communication and networking skills (business fluency in German and English), used to work in cross functional/international teams
- Willingness to travel globally (focus on Europe app. 20 %)

Minimum yearly gross salary according to Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 52.197,04 based on full-time employment. According to experience and qualification, we offer a market-conform overpayment.
