As a Production Associate at PALFINGER Liftgate, you will play a vital role in contributing to the success of our operations. This role is a valuable member of the production team focused on safely and consistently producing the highest quality product possible for customers.

 

This position is versatile and encompasses a wide range of responsibilities across the assembly, paint, weld, and service teams. The exact duties will vary from day to day depending on the department's needs.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assemble and install components of liftgates according to engineering specifications and assembly instructions.

  • Perform thorough quality checks during and after assembly to identify and rectify any defects or issues.

  • Ensure that all safety features and mechanisms are in place and operational.

  • Material preparation and painting.

  • Efficiently and safely welds sub-assemblies, assemblies and welding needs to mount truck equipment.

  • Read and understand drawing specifications, and instructions according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent, vocational training in mechanics, electrical systems, or a related field is preferred.

  • Proven experience in the assembly of heavy equipment.

  • Knowledge and experience with lifting products is preferred

  • A minimum of one year experience using hand and power tools which may include welding clamps, vise grips, square, wire cutters, scrapers, hammers, impact guns etc.

  • Use and read measuring, squaring and leveling instruments within 1/16”.

  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
