Join Our Team as a Painter in Oklahoma City!

At Palfinger, we’re committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone’s unique talents and perspectives are valued. We’re excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced Painter to join our operations team at our Oklahoma City manufacturing facility.

 

Position Overview: As a Painter, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. Your responsibilities will include prepping and painting components, contributing to our safety programs, and promoting a positive work culture.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Basic Hand Tools: Proficiency in using and maintaining basic hand tools is essential. This includes tools like sanding blocks, masking tape, and other equipment commonly used in the painting process.
  • Moderate Body Repair Skills: The technician should have a solid understanding of body repair techniques. This involves addressing minor imperfections, dents, and scratches on vehicle surfaces before painting.
  • Paint Application Expertise:
    • Gravity Feed HVLP Guns: The candidate should be highly skilled in using gravity feed High Volume Low Pressure (HVLP) spray guns. These guns provide efficient paint application with minimal overspray.
    • Pressure Feed HVLP Guns: Proficiency with pressure feed HVLP guns is also crucial. These guns use compressed air to deliver paint, ensuring consistent coverage and a smooth finish.
  • Coaching and MentoringThe technician should be willing to share their expertise with new team members. This includes coaching and mentoring them on various paint processes, techniques, and safety practices.
  • Quality FocusStriving for minimal rework is essential. The technician should aim for precision in spray applications, minimizing the need for touch-ups or corrections.

 

Qualifications:

  • Desire to Work in a Production Environment: We’re looking for candidates who are enthusiastic about working in a production setting. A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the team are essential.
  • Adaptability:
    • the ability to adapt to changes is crucial. Our work environment may evolve, and you should be comfortable managing competing demands, unexpected events, and frequent changes.

  • Reliability and Punctuality:
    • Consistently being at work and arriving on time is important. Following instructions and responding to management direction demonstrate reliability.
